Six hours, three appetites: history, food, then the sea. The day starts among the landmarks — the Queen's Staircase, Parliament and Rawson Squares, Fort Fincastle and the Water Tower, the Rum Cake Factory and a look at Atlantis across the harbour. Lunch is the centrepiece. At Arawak Cay's Fish Fry you order the way locals do — conch fritters, fried fish, peas and rice, guava desserts — with your guide steering you to the right spots. Meals are at your own cost, so everyone eats exactly what they fancy. The afternoon ends on white sand with time for a proper swim. The vehicle is private and air-conditioned throughout, with pickup from your hotel, ship or the airport, priced by group size.

We had a half day private tour with Charles and it was an incredible day in Nassau!
